• Develops and maintains positive customer and employee relations.
• Handles and monitors all insurance claims that may arise due to project related incidents and /or accidents.
• Maintains onsite OHSA logs and required reporting.
• Develop site specific safety plans and task hazard assessments.
• Maintain and update emergency response plans and procedures; coordinate emergency response activities and drills.
• Provide technical expertise and monitor plant conditions to ensure compliance with all federal, state and company applicable rules and procedures. Advise management of conditions that could lead to non-compliance or unsafe working conditions.
• Responsible for the issuance and maintenance of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Approves safety supplies and equipment expenditures.
• Excellent management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects task simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met.
• Ensures a clean, safe work place at all times, implementing MasterTech Services accident prevention policy and required OSHA standards.
• Reviews methods, techniques and practices recommended for the control of work to assure adherence to project parameters, specifications, and functional and safety requirements.
• Conducts project site safety audits.
• Attends project site safety meetings and job walks with client.
• Participate in company and outside training programs as requested.
• Position reports directly to management.
Key Qualities:
• Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Candidates that have their CSP certificate (Certified Safety Professional) and OSHA trained 30 hour certification.
• Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems: (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
